Here I am 29 years later in life. As I think of some of the things I have achieved as a young woman, …. I feel great. And I get excited for all the things yet to come. It’s funny people always tell me “you have the best birthday”. But I think they’re only looking at the party aspect of it. I always think dang my birthday is the last day of the year, literally. It takes so long for it to come. And when it does, it’s over just like that.
Well this year is a little different I’m getting older and learning to recognize more things I am thankful for in life. I am loving the ways in which I’m growing and I’m learning from my experiences. Now that the year is coming to an end, I have to reflect back on what I’ve learned this past year. #1 Rule to myself and I would also advise to you is “Be yourself… unapologetically”. Don’t apologize for being you. One of the biggest things I have overcame is learning to be myself, even when I know others don’t like it or approve of it. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. I have to live for myself (my sons as well but that’s a definite) and be happy with how am I as a person. It’s easy to say you can’t control what others think or say about you. But you can control how you feel about you! Strive to observe and witness others’ opinions, rather than being attached to them.
Find your personal style that feels great to you. If you like that banana colored ruffled blouse, but you don’t think anyone else will… wear it anyway. If you think that particular blouse looks great, but you can’t rock it how you want to because you’re afraid of what someone might say or think?! You need to think again. I want you to dress your best in the clothing that feels “you”. Just because someone does not agree with your style doesn’t mean you have to hide or suppress it. Embrace that style, uniqueness, or even if its simple and chic… Embrace it and be yourself.
So because it’s my birthday of course I am going to be a little extra or just have a little more bling. But there are only two main components with this look. My dress and boots. Now before today I hoped that it wouldn’t be so cold, where I’d freeze. But you know Cleveland… it’s cold and there’s practically a blizzard outside. Now this royal blue sequins dress is cold and I’m not talking about the weather. It’s long sleeve, yay and also has slight turtle neck feel, so there’s no cleavage or any skin showing. I actually bought this dress from a boutique in Cleveland called So Fierce.
This dress is great for a new years eve look. Like I stated before there are only two components. With this dress, you don’t need a lot of accessories, it will take away from the dress. With this statement dress and it being my birthday and all I topped this look off with my royal blue crushed velvet over the knee boots. These are my personal favs from my closet right now. The heel isn’t too high, but my main concern is how comfortable they are. To my surprise, they’re pretty comfortable. The only issue with me is I have to squeeze the string a little tighter to fit that part of my leg above the knee. But I absolutely love them. I got these from Forever21, and on sale! A major plus.
This look is great for dinners, a NYE event, and of course birthday parties. I’m going to continue being myself and staying true to that. I hope you will all do the same. Happy New Years!

So as the end of the year gets closer I just think about all I’ve overcome this past year. I think about what I have done to get to where I am now. Now, I want you to think for a min… What are some things that physically makes you feel confident? It can be something as simple as listening to one of your favorite songs, or dressing up for an occasion, anything… There are a few things that makes me feel confident; my make-up, when I accomplish short term goals, and of course my look/style for the day.
Ladies I’m here to say confidence is not just in the mind, there can be a physical feeling that you get. I want you to take note of what makes you feel confident and try to do more of it!! Something as simple as an outfit makes me feel confident with myself. I enjoy how the outfit makes me feel and it seems like I receive a compliment every time I step out.
I couldn’t wait to style these olive over the knee boots. These boots are fierce and I feel they compliment my frame and body type. As you can tell olive, is becoming one of my favorite colors. It’s also a color thats been trending this season. I paired these boots with some denim overalls. These overalls are actually vintage. I chose to not wear them the traditional way. I haven’t wore any in a while, but I think this look was paired together nicely.
A mid-length gold medallion drop necklace was added for an accessory with matching earrings. The colors olive and gold mesh together well, especially during the holiday season. I actually attended a comedy show, and love how the scenery complimented my look this evening.
Next time you’re feeling down or out of place, think of those things that make you feel confident. Ladies, just remember when you feel confident, you are unstoppable…

Hey ladies! I’m back and better than ever!!! This year I have been dealing with so many obstacles in life with losing my job to starting this fashion blog, and then finally getting out of a toxic and abusive relationship. But in the end I feel great! I know some of you are thinking how can that be? Honestly, you never really know what people are really dealing with in their lives. And it has taken me a long time to admit I wasn’t fully where I wanted to be in life.
Of course I would love to have been married, have my home paid off, and on my way to law school right about now. Granted things didn’t work out that way. Looking back at the last five plus years of my life, there was a time I almost felt defeated. Then I started this blog and it helps me to maintain confidence with my everyday duties and obstacles I come across. I have to thank so many of you for taking the time to view my blog and provide tips and feedback that really allowed me to take some time to rethink the content I was putting out into the world.
I feel like I want to be an open book to tell all, and advise along the way to never lose who you are!!! Now of course, I’ve found myself, I mean the “Munee” that I lost somewhere years ago. Like I said I’m back and as we’re coming close to the end of 2017 I want to share the steps I began to take redefine my confidence and maintain it.
Now of course I use fashion. So today’s tip will begin with Acknowledging your fears. One of my bigger fears was to show off my body type. I’m currently working on my body and would like to add some weight to make me feel more comfortable with it. So I wore this rose gold sequined jumpsuit from Forever 21. It has a deep v-cut right down the middle and the full back out. I added an ivory cape, also from Forever21 and a jeweled necklace. This cape gave it a formal look, cause I was actually headed to one of my good friends’ 30th birthday party. This outfit is great for parties, and at first I was skeptical about it because this was a forma event. But I put my fear aside and went to the party anyway. And I had a really nice time.
So just remember, Acknowledge those fears and then attempt to conquer them or take baby steps to overcoming that fear. Just know you’re almost there and on a wonderful path to becoming more and more confident!

Hey ladies!!!! There is so much I want to share with you on this blog post. But I want to start off by saying THANK YOU!!!. I have so much gratitude for the love and support I receive on my blog. Today’s blog post features my upcoming theme using prints with every outfit I share with you.
This floral print on this one piece is everything! I purchased this romper to make a statement, and of course I got it from Fashion Nova. Who would have thought? I’m pretty sure you know by now, this is a go to website for me. I can always find that look to make jaws drop.
They call this romper,”White Summer Romper”. The bold colors on this romper combine so well with each other to create a great summer look. This outfit shows how you can show skin strategically. If you haven’t checked out Munee’s Style Tips page, head over there when you’re done with this and find out how to bare certain body parts, and cover some of them up. Of course looking sexy involves what to bear and what to keep under wraps. And from looking at this outfit you would think I’m bearing it all. I have my arms covered up to the elbows. And although I’m showing some cleavage you can only view my legs from the front of the outfit. The shorts show my long legs off, but the long skirt in the back hides the view of my legs.
I paired this romper with some navy blue “Rachel” heeled sandals. I grabbed these sandals from Shoe Dazzle. (It was last year, but they do have other colors available.) A perfect match made in heaven. Because my legs are out you can really appreciate the detail of the sandal.
For a simple accessory, I added a gold necklace with navy blue feathers added. You show know me by now, simple and chic will get the job done. And you know one thing I added with this look, CONFIDENCE!!! This should be your most important accessory. Make sure you add this to every style and outfit you wear.
I am wearing this romper to a graduation party. This romper, is festive enough for a party, and dressy enough for the occasion. I wanted to show off my long slim legs, and I think I pulled it off with this look. Make sure you check out Munee’s Style Tips for all trendy style tips that will have you looking fabulous this summer!

Hey queens!! So do you remember when I said I would be featuring boutiques. You can find a lot of classic and trendy pieces at Sleek Couture. This is an online clothing store that I’ve copped a couple pieces from. Sleek Couture was founded in 2015 by owner Iya. Iya said she’s “always had the passion for styling and anything fashion. After tired of always wishing and scared to get my business up and running, she took the leap of faith and since then have not looked back!” She strives to make every Doll that shops with Sleek Couture feel and look amazing with every piece, with the experience being the main importance to keep them loyal to the Sleek Brand!
I had the pleasure of meeting Iya at a fashion event. And, when I saw the “Maxi Cardigan” I instantly fell in love. I kinda have this thing for cardigans. It’s just an added plus when you’re pulling off a certain look. You can add one to dress up or dress down to any look.
This soft pink cardigan is wonderful, it’s light enough to wear in the summer time when you’re pairing with a dress. I also grabbed this rose colored “Satin Diva Dress” from Sleek Couture too. I mean diva is exactly how I feel when I’m wearing this dress. It fits me great and makes me feel confident when I’m showing off these arms. The color is right on too. I not only look amazing, but feel amazing as well. Another date night, we’ll be attending an upscale restaurant and hopefully catching that Cavs game later tonight!
I added a little bling with this “METAL GARDEN” choker from Shoe Dazzle to dress this look up. And the bling doesn’t stop there this, rose gold clutch I got from Aldo. Let me just tell you I love this clutch. It also has a gold chain strap where you can extend it and wear in your shoulder if you want. And finally, these shoes. You already know I’m a Shoe Dazzle girl. I got these blush pumps “RAYNA” style to put the look together. This SLEEK look came together with the shoes…, With a little platform added this is shoe gives you so much comfort. You know that’s a plus for me!
All these different shades of pink brings my monochromatic look together. Remember that’s what this month’s theme is. How do you think I pulled this look off? Personally I don’t even like pink, but I like how this look turned out. I’m so happy to be able to support women like myself in their journey in fashion. This is one of the main reasons, I started this fashion blog to empower. Sleek Couture and its’ owner holds up their expectations with offering trendy pieces. Just check them out for yourself.! And stay tuned, your online boutiques may be featured next…

Hey ladies, I couldn’t wait to wear these olive green dress sandals. The heel is high, but if you have been catching up on my blog posts, then you know security is one of the best things to have when it comes to high heel shoes. The high heels may be tall, but with the security, it literally feels like an extension of my foot. They give me so much comfort I can wear these heels anywhere.
If you live in Cleveland, then you know what kind of weather we’ve been dealing with. It’s June and the weather is 60 degrees I mean c’mon now! With that being said, I’m wearing this olive “Sexy Secretary Sweater” from Fashion Nova. I actually got this sweater in XS but I should have gotten small for the over-sized look. And let me tell you, this sweater is really comfortable. I wore the sweater off the shoulder to give myself a sexy look. And check it out the buttons are on the back! The jeans are comfortable as well. They look super tight, but the material is soft and they’re stretchy so they don’t feel that tight. I got these “Athena Double Wash Jeans” in olive as well. Now this is the first time I’ve bought jeans from Fashion Nova, but I have to say I’m surprised. If you go on their site, most of the girls are curvy and thick, I wasn’t expecting these jeans to fit like this. But I really love them. They have faint slits above the knee giving me that rustic look. I bought these sandals from Shoe Dazzle (I’m a loyal customer as you can see!) I believe they are called “Analy” dress sandals.
I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but all of these pieces are the color olive, hence my title “Olive Oyl”. Lol! But really I’m going for a monochromatic look, all one color but different shades. And I think I pulled this look off nicely! But comfort is the key today. All pieces in this look allows me to feel sexy, but comfortable as well. From the sweater down to the 4 inch heel sandals I can do anything today. But I think this is an outfit for another date night, so we’ll probably go to the movies and maybe hit the town for a lil fun.
I paired this look with a vintage olive blended Gucci bag. One of my favorite designers, when I can afford it of course.. It’s always good to have a vintage piece to add to any look. I love it because it’s leather and the handle is almost like a bamboo material. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. The jewelry I added to this look is a multicolored choker and a black and gold beaded bracelet.
Comfort and confidence go hand in hand. If you are comfortable with what you’re wearing than that confidence is building more and more for you. Let me tell you I can remember when I would wear high heels and my feet would be hurting so bad. I didn’t feel confident walking in them anymore. But this is the new and improved Munee, and these heels makes me feel so confident, it just keeps a smile on my face. I guarantee when you feel comfortable in your outfit, you will also feel confidence. And if you’re already a confident woman, then you will love it even more to be comfortable and look good at the same time. Trust me! Until next time ladies…

I want to first let you know that I really love this sweater from Fashion Nova. You can really wear this sweater anywhere. It’s a multi-purpose piece. You can wear it to work, or to class, or you can throw it on for a night on the town. I’m wearing this out tonight. No where fancy, just a laid back atmosphere with no specific dress code. I chose to add this sweater with this all black outfit . I mean the outfit all together is simple, but chic.
These pants are form fitting and has a zipper up the front for a chic design. The top I added is a crop top. I chose a top that shows off that detail on the pants. These pants pair easily with a crop top. The great thing about these pants, is the material. They’re form fitting, but also stretchy where you don’t feel uncomfortable. They’re the perfect pants to wear when you’re out with friends or even when you’re on a date. These pants are also from Fashion Nova. If you’re not familiar with this site, get familiar. The clothes on this site are great for just about anyone.
Because I’m rocking all black of course I had to add my “Yenny” style sandal from justfab.com. I wore these sandals first on my last blog post, but they go great with this style too! The detail of the shoe is the best part. They are faux suede, and has a sexy little tie design in the back. The weather is great for these sandals, especially to have those toes out. The sandal extends up to the ankle, which is super chic. And I just threw on this jeweled bracelet and watch for an added accessories.
Wearing this style puts my confidence level on 10. I was going for a chic look that can be worn out on the town. Showing a little bit of skin, but not too much and gives that wow factor at the same time. The next time you’re headed out with your girls think of this style to rock for the evening. Just remember you don’t need a ton of pieces to be stylish!!
