Now that the snow is clearing up, I can finally start thinking “Spring”. With this Cleveland weather all over the place at times, it’s hard to fully say it’s Spring. It’s actually supposed to snow this week, but I won’t even start thinking about that again. Because it’s officially Spring, I say bring out those colors. Vibrant and bright!! When Spring hits I’m sure you’ll catch me in all kinds of colors with the brightest hues.
I’m kicking this Spring off with orange! I couldn’t wait to style this “Stayed For a Suede Skirt” I got from Fashion Nova. Actually, the exact color is “rust”. This skirt fits my frame so cute. I thought it might be hard getting it on, but the material is actually stretchy. I figured once the weather breaks, it’s more skirts and dresses that I will be pulling out to wear.
A lot of you look at your wardrobe and probably say “I only own black clothing”. And there’s nothing wrong with it, I used to have a lot of black items. Matter of fact I still do. But when you add colors to your style you’re creating bold outfits that anyone of you can show off. I know some of you may not be comfortable with mixing colors. But that’s exactly why I have this skirt acting as the accent piece to this outfit. The skirt is bright enough to create a look where you can only have to use one color. This bold color is sure to turn some heads. It’s perfect to wear to a bridal shower, baby shower, or even that business meeting that you have coming up.
I created this look to have the skirt as the main piece. I used black and white to add contrast. I paired the skirt with this t-shirt crop top to dress the look down. The pant leather boots and purse created an urban touch to the look, bringing it all together to create my runway look. I’m going to call it “street chic”. Now there are many ways to style this skirt. But the key is adding just enough color to your style. Many women gravitate towards black, white, and gray. Which is safe. But to be bold, you have to add some color to your look.
This floppy hat was added as a fashionable accessory. It gives me that confidence I need to make this outfit complete. Walking down the street in this outfit is sure to turn some heads. These mid-high boots provide a great balance to stride. Oh and if you haven’t caught the blog post about comfortability, be sure to check it out!
